The short version

A repeatable loadout turns every attempt into useful data: if the same supplies enter each time, you can identify whether survival, damage or Pal uptime needs improvement.

Before you begin

Dedicated loadout chest
Repaired armor and shield
Full ammunition count
Food and buffs
Primary counter Pal
Backup combat Pal

Create a boss departure chest

  • Store the weapon, ammunition, protection and food used for that encounter together.
  • Keep unrelated gathering tools out of the loadout.
  • Restock the chest immediately after an attempt while the missing amounts are obvious.

Standardize the attempt

  • Enter fed, repaired and at the same carrying weight.
  • Use the focus-target command so Pal damage begins consistently.
  • Follow the same opening position before experimenting with one change at a time.

Classify the failure

  • Player death points to movement, protection or attention problems.
  • Pal death points to level, matchup, skill choice or recall timing.
  • Timer failure points to weapon output, ammunition supply or lost attack uptime.

Video research

We reviewed the public player videos below, compared their demonstrated routes, and rewrote the useful findings in our own words. No official guide copy or video transcript is reproduced here. Results can still vary with world settings and later patches.
