The short version
Choose workers by the job the base is waiting on, then add transport and recovery support so their suitability produces real output.
Before you begin
Find the station that is waiting
- Watch one production cycle and identify whether input, labor or transport stops first.
- Adding another miner does not help a smelter waiting for Kindling.
- Upgrade the missing job before expanding the number of stations.
Use specialists on permanent work
- Place strong suitability levels on jobs that run all day.
- Use flexible workers for short crafting queues and cleanup tasks.
- Avoid overloading one Pal with several nearby task types if the important station must stay active.
Support the worker, not only the station
- Short paths to food and storage protect productive time.
- Beds, hot springs and reliable meals reduce long recovery gaps.
- Transport capacity converts finished work into usable stock instead of ground clutter.
