Start from a recipe, not a Pal

Identify the ingredient that repeatedly stops ammunition, Spheres or food production.
Assign ranch Pals whose output directly answers that shortage.
Change the ranch roster when the target recipe changes.

Keep the collection route short

Place storage close to the ranch boundary without blocking access.
Give transporters a direct route with no stairs or decorative bottlenecks.
Leave enough open space for each assigned Pal to enter and work consistently.

Audit output after one cycle

Check whether drops are being created, collected and stored.
If items remain on the ground, fix transport before adding another ranch worker.
Compare passive stock against recipe demand before expanding the ranch.
