The short version
Peek once, assess supplies and weight, then either clear deliberately or mark the entrance; entering without room for loot wastes the strongest reason to be there.
Before you begin
Check the entrance every time
- Some current dungeons may open into a short treasure room, making a quick check worthwhile.
- Mark the entrance even when the route or timer makes a full clear impractical.
- Confirm your return path before moving deep enough to lose orientation.
Clear with a loot budget
- Reserve weight for the reward instead of mining every early node.
- Use a dependable combat Pal and avoid spending rare supplies on ordinary rooms.
- Collect concentrated materials that answer a current crafting need.
Know when to leave
- Exit if durability or ammunition drops below the amount needed for the remaining route.
- Do not risk rare expedition loot on an optional fight with no recovery supplies.
- Record why the clear failed so the next loadout solves one specific problem.
